Supervision
Dr Lee Cubis offers clinical supervision across two core areas of practice: disability support, including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), and general psychology. While these areas are distinct, Lee recognises that they often intersect in practice and supports clinicians to navigate both with clarity and confidence.
In the disability field, Lee supervises behaviour support practitioners, psychologists, and allied health professionals working in NDIS-funded roles. He provides guidance on functional assessment, behaviour support planning, ethical decision-making, and system navigation. His approach is grounded in a strong understanding of the complexities surrounding restrictive practices, team dynamics, and the delivery of truly person-centred supports.
In his general psychology supervision, Lee works with early, mid, and late-career psychologists across a range of clinical contexts. His areas of interest include anxiety disorders, self-identity, and working with LGBTQIA+ clients. He has a particular focus on the therapeutic alliance and process issues in therapy, helping clinicians reflect on what unfolds in the room and why it matters. While his work draws on schema therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Lee prioritises sound formulation as the foundation for meaningful and adaptable clinical work.
Lee’s supervision style is warm, reflective, and grounded in real-world clinical experience. He tailors his approach to the individual, creating a space for clinical skill-building, ethical reflection, and sustainable professional growth.
